Afternoon Tea.

After a busy week it was nice to have a wonder around the town and have a lovely afternoon tea in a beautiful little French Cafe.

Yummy cakes, this was our second visit, will def be going back and will be sampling something different each time. The good thing is that this little cafe is situated in the local craft shop.

Name place cards.

I really enjoy making up the name place cards for the Merly Crop, I love doing the same design over and over again. So here are the cards from the June Crop.

Here is a close up.

The next crop is September, watch out for sneak peeks of the kit and the name place cards.

I hope you enjoyed my post, thank you for any comments, they are very much appreciated,
Enjoy,

June 2015 Merly Crop.

June Merly Crop & Kit.

I just want to say many thanks to everyone who attended the June Merly Crop. We hope everyone enjoyed the day and the kit, we had a fabulous time it is always so lovely to catch up with everyone. Here are just a few photo's of the day.

I designed the kit for June using the lovely "Secret Garden" Kaisercraft  collection, which was also released in June. The kit included detailed instructions and loads of stash to make three layouts!!

Here is the first layout, which I’ve called “Favourite Place” it uses one coloured photo measuring 13cm wide x 9cm high. The photo was taken at our favourite holiday destination, we have been going to Natural Retreats in Yorkshire for six years now, this time (June 2014 we were joined by Debbie, Adrian, Alex & the very cute, Alfie the dog).

The second layout which I’ve called “Love You” also uses one coloured photo measuring 13cm wide x 9cm high. This photo of me and my daughter Merley was taken at my nieces wedding also in June 2014.

The third layout which used all the left overs uses two photos about 5.5cm wide x 7.5cm high. This photo is of Merley again :) modeling the headband she created for her art work at school.

For anyone that couldn't come to the crop, the kit was available to purchase on-line at Merly Impressions. You can also view all the Merly crop posts on the Merly Blog and you can find details and future crop dates. You can also be kept updated and see sneak peaks over on the Merly Crop/Retreat facebook page.

I'll be back soon and thank you for any comments they are very much appreciated.
Enjoy,

I think the first post on a blog is the most difficult, I have been pondering for quite a while about what this post should be, but by doing this I actually haven't got round to posting anything. So I am not going to think about it any more, here it is, not very impressive, not very creative, not brilliant. Here is what I have been doing today in my craft room.

With the Merly crop coming up in September, I decided to make a start on the name place cards. I know it is a bit early but I like to be organised and it does take me a while to actually come up with something. So I have been doing some stamping, cutting & sticking.

I'm not going to show you the finished name card as I like it to be a bit of a surprise for everyone that attends the crop, but you can see a sample of  it hiding behind the pile of folded black cards.

Yay first post done, looking forward to doing some more and hopefully they will be a great improvement on this one.

Please feel free to comment, I will look forward to reading them.

Take care, be back soon,
Enjoy!
